LOCATION: Waterville Airport, Maine – just 3 hours north of Boston on I- 95. Nearest commercial airport: KAUG (Augusta State Airport), or KPWM (Portland Jetport). We offer free pick- up shuttle service from Augusta State Airport.
HOUSING:available at Waterville Airport for $39.95 plus tax per night.
PREPARATION: Download our BE 76 checklist here and prepare yourself for the flight portion of your training before you get here.
TRAINING: Your training begins the first day at 10AM to 12AM. Then break for lunch. Another training session from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Same schedule for the second day followed by the checkride.
AIRPLANE: The BE– 76 Duchess is easy to fly. It has counter– rotating propellers with unfeathering accumulators. The two Lycoming engines produce 180hp each and are carburated. The trailing link landing makes landings easy. Fully IFR equipped this aircraft has Autopilot and makes a nice rental aircraft or time– builder.
