Veteran Information
Airlink LLC is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide flight and ground training to students using either The Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30), or The Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)
The following courses are approved for VA benefits:
Instrument Rating Course Commercial Pilot Course
**The Private Pilot Course is not approved for VA Benefits – however, Airlink LLC offers a 5% discount to veterans and service members enrolling in our Private Pilot Course.
The differences between the two benefits are:
1. Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30) -
Usually will reimburse 60% of training to the student
Accelerated Training can be taken
2. Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)
Usually will reimburse 100% of training to the student
Accelerated Training can be taken
Limited to $10,000 per academic year
Attendance Policy
Veterans, service members or reservists receiving federal educational
assistance benefits under Title 38, U.S. code are required to complete a
minimum of 15 hours of instruction per quarter (defined as every 90- day
period following the date training began). Exceptions may be granted due to
weather, illness, or other unavoidable circumstances and must be
documented in the student file to be considered acceptable.
Reimbursement to Veteran, Service members & reservists
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will reimburse an eligible veteran,
service member or reservist for dual and solo flight training, preflight
briefings, post flight critiques, and ground school at the rate of 60%. The
allowance is paid monthly by the Department of Veterans Affairs to the
student based on actual training received and certified to the Department of
Veteran Affairs.
When you meet with our staff, we can provide you with a reasonable estimate of the expected total VA program cost for the course(s) you choose. Exact costs will depend on your progress, since students must train to FAA Practical Test Standards. Additional factors can include general aptitude, study habits, and personal motivation.
Payment for all charges incurred for aircraft rental and instruction are due upon completion of each training session. Payment can be made with a credit card, or debit card, as well as cash or check.
